Travel

The IET & GSA have provided several options for travel during your visit to London for the IET & GSA Semiconductor Leaders Forum.

By Air

The most convenient airport for ExCel London is London City Airport. This international airport offers connections to 23 national and international destinations, and is located by just a 5 minute taxi journey from ExCel. Passengers arriving at City Airport can also travel to ExCel on the Docklands Light Railway, via Canning Town station.

Flight Information

A discount on travel from US to London and international flights on American Airlines is available to guests flying to London for the Forum.

To book your airfare, simply complete the following steps:

  • Call American Airlines toll free at +1.800.433.1790
  • Provide GSA's authorization number: A4758AS for discounts on your airline ticket.
  • Provide the reservation desk with your AAdvantage number. Request upgrades and seat assignment at time of ticketing.
  • Once your reservation is final, provide your personal credit card to purchase ticket.

By Tube and Docklands Light Railway (DLR)

ExCel London has its own station on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR), Custom House for ExCel, which is within easy reach for passengers on London’s mainline and international stations.

  • The Jubilee Line is recommended as the quickest route to ExCeL London. At Canning Town change to the DLR (upstairs on platform 3) for the quick two-stop journey to Custom House for ExCeL Station
  • ExCeL London is located in zone 3 and London Underground tickets are valid on the DLR
  • Trains from Tower Gateway go direct to Custom House for ExCeL
  • When travelling from Bank on the DLR, change at Westferry for a Beckton bound train
  • When travelling from Lewisham, take a Stratford train and change at Poplar for a Beckton bound train. Alternatively take the first Bank train and change at Westferry

By Eurostar

Travel to ExCel by train from many European destinations by taking the Eurostar to the recently-opened St. Pancras International Station. From there, ExCel is an easy journey to Bank Station on the Northern Line and then to Custom House for ExCel on the DLR.

By Road

ExCel London is conveniently located close to the M25, M11, A406 and A13. Car parking facilities for over 4,000 cars is available. It is recommended that you pay for your parking before leaving the centre at one of the many pay points located in the Boulevard. These points accept both cash and credit card. Alternatively you can pay for your parking at the car park but please note that these pay points only accept payment by credit card.

ExCeL London is not located in the London Congestion Charge zone.
